The Final workshop for the development of the 2024-2026 Action plan is held in Teslic
In the period from June 1st to June 3rd, 2024, in the Hotel Banja Vrućica (Teslić), the Final Workshop for the development of the Action Plan for the period 2024-2026 was held, under the leadership of the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina and implementing partner Hilfswerk International.
At this two-day workshop, members of the working group had the opportunity to initially hear about the areas of responsibility in the management of migration flows, as well as the planned activities of the project “Strengthening Migration Management, Asylum and Return Processes in the Western Balkans” as part of which this workshop is held.
The representatives of the ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovinathen led an active discussion on the topic of the recapitulation of the activities on the creation of the Action Plan for the period 2024-2026, as well as the amendment to the text of the Strategy for the Reception and Integration of Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who return on the basis of the readmission agreement, which referred to legal provisions and by-law amendments.
The participants had extensive two-day work where actively participated in the plenary discussion and joint finalization of the Action Plan document as well as the text of the mentioned Strategy, which refers to the aforementioned legal and by-law changes.
The workshop was finalized with a review and discussion of the issue with current situation in the field of readmission/acceptance of vulnerable categories of readmitted citizens of BiH, which will be another step towards improving and preserving the visa-free regime for citizens of BiH.
The project “Strengthening Migration Management, Asylum and Return Processes in the Western Balkans” is financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and the Federal Ministry of the Interior of Austria.
